Summary of Key Responsibilities
Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
· Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
· Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
· Leads supply chain development and new supply initiatives, in coordination with sales and operations planning.
Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
· Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with the Company’s business goals and objectives.
· Develops annual operating plan and budget, and quarterly updates.
· Monitors budget performance, communicates issues resulting in budget variances, and identifies cost reduction opportunities.
· Designs and implements distribution strategy and infrastructure to support Market Business Unit growth plans. Determines optimal transportation strategy based on shared services and regional leverage.
· Develops a forecasting cycle and process, and recommends system requirements needed to deliver accurate demand forecasts for the Market Business Unit.
· Ensures that stocking policies and replenishment processes consistently result in timely and appropriate product volumes distributed to stores.
· Develops and recommends store order management system and process, and provides ordering guidelines.
· Determines Key Performance Indicators for the supply chain and monitors and reports on results.
· Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
· Produces demand forecasts based on store development plans, sales forecast demand history, seasonal trends, product range, market trends and promotions, to ensure product availability for existing and new stores.
· Analyzes demand changes and major deviations from forecasting plans and takes action based on demand trends.
· Ensures that inventory and reorder levels are maintained, and recommends action to the business.
· Works with operations management, the Regional Support Center, third-party logistics providers and local suppliers and resolves high-level internal or external issues to ensure efficient store order management, for both regular supplies and promotional items.
· Develops contracts with third-party logistics providers and manages ongoing relationships.
· Manages all purchasing activity including sourcing and supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance management and supplier compliance, based on product needs defined by Marketing, Food and Beverage, and Operations.
· Maintains a proactive process to gain approval of new products before entry into country. Provides regulatory guidelines and templates to internal customers in executing their projects.
